Striving for Right Relationship
Many of us desire a more just and equitable world, one where we live in right relationships with Indigenous people, communitites, and governments, but how do we get there?
Tsimka Martin, of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, and I host a welcoming and supportive workshop for non-Indigenous people aiming to make change, show up well, and work toward right relationship with Indigenous people, communities, and Nations.
Our workshop focuses on the individual and collective steps we can take toward right relationship and providing support so you can take your next steps.

MENTOR then client
“Jeanette has countless attributes that are mostly beyond words because they are felt, relational, and deeply embodied. But most germane are her ardent listening skills and ability to synthesize a bunch of scattered thoughts coming at her into something purposeful and necessary for the work at hand.”

Matt Kemshaw
colleague
“Jeanette is a visionary thinker with a knack for asking difficult questions. She sees possibilities where others see problems. She is a curator who can bring people and projects together to become more than the sum of their parts.”

Marwo Abdi
Community member
“I’m always amazed by Jeanette’s kindness, thoughtfulness, and her advocacy for racialized communities. In addition to the vast and important work she does addressing colonization and oppression, and creating welcoming and inclusive spaces and projects, she is an incredible ally and she stands for what a great allyship means.”

Amy Crook
client
“Jeanette did a wonderful job of wading through chaos and making things work well. We were very lucky to have her steady, patient, and enthusiastic will and vision. She was fearless and effective when it came to sourcing funding.”

Tsimka Martin

“Jeanette has shown me in many ways how she has integrated her dedication to decolonization and real reconciliation into her life and work. This came about through her listening, taking directions, speaking up in closed door meetings where marginalized people weren’t present and pushing for their requests. Jeanette is an articulate and outspoken ally to Indigenous nations. She carries her responsibilities as a settler seriously.”
